There is no official sequel to Train to Busan because the director, Yeon Sang-ho, has stated that he did not want to make a sequel just for the sake of it. He wanted to ensure that any continuation of the story would be meaningful and add value to the original film. Additionally, Train to Busan was a standalone film that was well-received by audiences and critics, and the director may have wanted to preserve the integrity of the original story rather than risk diluting its impact with a potentially unnecessary sequel. **
